iPhone SLR Mount - for those who really need it

What do you do if you have existing Canon lenses that fit your DSLR camera but not your iPhone? Well, you'll need something that would make it compatible so that you can ditch shelf rest your camera body and just stick with the iPhone (eherm...). Enter the iPhone SLR mount (yes, finally a mount), it's compatible with Nikon and Canon lenses so you can shoot professional images with your iPhone!

Photojojo came up with a case & lens adapter for the iPhone 4|4s for better DOP (depth of field), zoom and manual focus. The going price is $249 (and shipping to Canada starts at $25 + taxes).

Eneloop it once again - SALE!

Just in case you missed the Sanyo Eneloop battery kit sale at Dell.ca (they're back to $69.99 - you get a charger, 8 AA's and 4 AAA's), Canada Computers is offering their own version - you can 4 AA's for $10.99.

I use a lot of these for my photo & video equipment, and getting the disposable ones really aren't helping the environment either. The deal is good until this Sunday (Dec.11).

Social Media facts 2011

If your definition of social media is "Facebook is the devil" then maybe a few more facts can enlighten your mind and get a bit more relevant information on how it has influenced on how we learn, react and interact. Take time to view this video:

SOCIAL MEDIA REVOLUTION

Here are the top 5 that I found really interesting in the video:
  1. 1 in 5 divorces are blamed on Facebook
  2. A new member joins LinkedIn every second
  3. Generation Y and Z consider e-mail passé
  4. 93% of marketers use social media for business
  5.  90% of consumers trust peer recommendations

One Last thing, over 37 million people watched the Volkswagen Darth Vader Super Bowl Ad on YouTube...

... and yet the child actor has never seen STAR WARS?!?

Does that mean that this generation won't even recognize what a Pager is or a rotary phone? Will our children believe us if we say that we didn't have cell phones or computers back in the day? Or that we listened to music on 8-tracks cassette tapes, played it on a boom box (ghettoblaster), and even watched the Arsenio Hall Show late at night?

What is the world coming to? Well, at least there's Google & YouTube to search these topics on... right?

What's a PAGER?

Eneloop rechargeable batteries ON SALE (in Canada)!

Eneloop rechargeable batteries ON SALE (in Canada)!

As a photographer, I swear by these rechargeable batteries – Sanyo Eneloop. These babies are already pre-charged (not full though) once you take them out of the package. They work well with my flashes, mics, LED lights and such.

For personal or business use, I suggest you grab the Battery Kit they have on saleat Dell.ca that’s going for under $30 (normally $70), it does pay off in the long run (at least for me) if you rely a lot on using batteries. Better hurry as the sale ends December 9|2011.

Optimizing YouTube Videos

Ran into an article on how to optimize YouTube videos, needed this info to make sure that I’m ticking off the checklist as far as (1) tagging, (2) using effective title keywords and (3) integrate the website URL within the video description. It’s not rocket science, just the discipline to do it every time (remember: practice makes perfect).

You can read the entire article by Resonance Social Media here.

If you want to get found on searches then this is the proper way of doing it for your videos.
